Senior Accountant Job Description

At Brannan Companies, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing our fixed assets, including fleet analysis, lease accounting, and depreciation/amortization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage fixed assets, including fleet analysis, lease accounting, and depreciation/amortization.
  • Negotiate debt financing and leasing agreements.
  • Maintain relationships with finance/lease partners.
  • Administer rental equipment review contract rate.
  • Support various departments/divisions with parts inventory, equipment utilization analysis, and equipment profit/loss reporting.
  • Prepare property tax returns, sales tax returns, and weekly/monthly/quarterly journal entries.
  • Reconcile balance in fixed asset subsidiary ledger to General Ledger.
  • Maintain fleet and property insurance and allocate insurance costs.
  • Review/approve purchase orders/work orders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • 4+ years experience in fixed assets accounting, ideally with a manufacturing or construction company.
  • CPA a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others team members and obtain optimal work output.
