Quality Assurance Specialist

Shift: Rotating Days
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday Shift Times: 5:45 AM - 6:15 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated QA Tester to join our dynamic team in Northampton. As a QA Tester, you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and integrity of our products, ensuring that all raw materials, packaging, and finished goods meet our stringent standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform critical laboratory tests (e.g., microbiological, chemical, sensory) to validate product quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare and execute sampling plans for ingredients and finished products to ensure precise and accurate analyses.
- Analyze data and interpret results from routine and non-routine tests to ensure that all products meet the required specifications.
- Operate and maintain advanced lab equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and performing accurately.
- Support product innovation efforts by conducting trial runs and protocol studies for new product launches.
- Monitor plant equipment and production processes using statistical process control techniques to maintain high-quality output.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist in training new team members on quality standards and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in quality assurance or laboratory testing in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety regulations, and quality monitoring techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to report findings clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 80 lbs, and stand for extended periods in varying conditions.
- Passion for quality and a proactive mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Work Environment
You will work in a production facility where no two days are the same. Expect exposure to temperature extremes, moderate noise levels, and occasionally working with chemicals and ingredients. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in an active, hands-on environment.
