Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Computer Information Technology courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

This is a part-time, semester-by-semester position, contingent upon student demand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach at a variety of times and locations, and to utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.

Responsibilities

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for:

  • Teaching Computer Information Technology courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Submitting required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Utilizing a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Evaluating student progress and informing students in a timely manner of their progress
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, computer information technology, or a related field
  • 3 years non-teaching work experience in the field or industry certification(s)
