Adjunct Faculty, Business Statistics

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Business Statistics courses. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in management/business/administration or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in management/business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material. They will also be expected to submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner, utilize a course syllabus for each course, and meet with and advise students as needed.
The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for evaluating students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and informing students in a timely manner of their progress. They will also be expected to maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community, and attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints. They will also have the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people, and demonstrate interest in interdisciplinary teaching, service learning, learning technologies, course development, and adult learning methodologies.
The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for developing and implementing instructional approaches such as service learning/civic engagement, learning communities, and the effective use of technology. They will also be expected to use effective strategies to engage students in their learning.
The work is sedentary, and the employee will sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for working in a climate-controlled classroom and/or lab environment with minimal exposure to safety hazards. They will also be expected to work at various times and locations during the academic year, and be available to students outside of class instruction.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in management/business/administration or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in management/business. They will also have demonstrated leadership skills, and be able to appreciate alternative viewpoints.
The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for developing and implementing instructional approaches, and using effective strategies to engage students in their learning. They will also be expected to maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
