Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team at Soliant Education in Frederickson, WA. As a dedicated interpreter, you will play a vital role in fostering effective communication and inclusivity within an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring clear understanding and participation in academic activities.
  • Facilitate collaboration between students, teachers, and peers by interpreting spoken language to sign language and vice versa.
  • Support student learning and engagement by working closely with the educational team to identify and address individual needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions within the school environment.
Requirements
  • Certification in Sign Language Interpreting (EIPA score of 3.5 or higher preferred).
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
