Your Role: As a Service Sales Engineer, you will be instrumental in fostering and nurturing relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on understanding customer needs, delivering value, and pursuing leads that contribute to both customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming customer inquiries and transform them into cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Qualify and follow up on leads from diverse sources.
- Collaborate with various departments to devise strategies aimed at retaining or regaining lost customers.
- Engage in prospecting activities with targeted accounts, schedule future meetings, and cultivate sales opportunities.
- Execute the sales process effectively to create value for clients and stakeholders.
- Identify and further develop relationships within each account.
- Prepare quotations for Fixed Price Services, Service Plans, and additional offerings.
- Utilize business tools, including CPQ and ERP systems, to gather essential customer information for quoting and follow-up.
- Process received orders while ensuring the integrity of the post-sales process through proper documentation and approvals.
- Maintain accurate records of installed base information and customer data in ERP and CRM systems.
- Provide insightful feedback to sales and marketing teams regarding market trends, competition, and other pertinent information.
- Conduct regular reviews with the sales manager and relevant teams.
- Contribute actively to team discussions and meetings.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the service industry, with a focus on systematic sales processes.
- Familiarity with compressed air systems or related technologies is advantageous.
- A bachelor's degree in management, business, administration, marketing, engineering, or a related technical field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong customer orientation with the ability to prioritize customer needs effectively.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to take calculated risks.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage varied workloads.
- Proficient in using computers, CRMs, and database management systems.
