KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate machinery and perform basic setups with minimal oversight.
  • Possess knowledge in the setup and operation of metal fabrication equipment for cutting, bending, and shaping metal components.
  • Prioritize safety for themselves and colleagues, demonstrating understanding of Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage, and safety protocols.
  • Identify and report any defective materials or potential issues to management.
  • Foster collaboration by working effectively with various departments and shifts to meet customer satisfaction.
  • Manage time efficiently to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Be flexible to work overtime or shift changes for training and coverage.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this role, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is MANDATORY.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, including performing necessary calculations.
  • Capable of understanding and communicating safety regulations, operational procedures, and maintenance guidelines.
  • Proficient in basic math, including decimals, fractions, and measurements.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal properties related to thickness and angles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
