Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at the UNM Medical Group, Inc. This role will provide clinical and operational support to healthcare providers and patients, ensuring seamless coordination of services across multiple departments and facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent problem-solving abilities.

About the Role:
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will serve as a liaison between healthcare teams and clinics, providing education, resolving problems, and managing patient care. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive necessary tests and procedures, address patient concerns, and facilitate smooth coordination of services. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate quality initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical standards and protocols.
  • Act as a liaison between providers, patients, and staff by assisting with education, problem resolution, and care management.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to ensure patient care aligns with national and organizational quality standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments (both internal and external) to coordinate services, resolve operational issues, and enhance patient care quality.
  • Serve as the primary contact for referring providers, scheduling patients, maintaining communication regarding patient status, and fostering relationships with external provider staff.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need an Associate degree in nursing, 2 years of nursing experience, and a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New Mexico. Completed degrees from accredited institutions above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis. Verification of education and licensure will be required if selected for hire.

Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $75,670 - $96,439 per year, based on years of total relevant experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as additional perks such as tuition reimbursement, generous paid time off, and a 403b retirement plan for eligible employees.
