The Director of Patient Access Services is a key leadership position that oversees the strategic direction and operational execution of patient access services across CHRISTUS Health. This role requires a strong leader who can collaborate with various stakeholders to drive business growth, improve patient satisfaction, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient access services, aligning with CHRISTUS Health's overall business objectives.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of patient access services, ensuring efficient and effective processes that meet or exceed quality and productivity standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Patient Financial Services, Case Management, HIM, and Shared Services, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Performance Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to reduce bad debt, improve cash collection, and increase customer satisfaction.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and directives from regulatory agencies, maintaining a culture of compliance within the patient access services team.
- Reporting and Analytics: Develop and present performance reports to Senior Leadership and hospital executives, providing insights and recommendations for business growth and improvement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent healthcare leadership experience required.
- Experience: 7 years of supervisory/management experience preferred, with 8-12 years of technical experience in patient access services or a related field.
