Key Responsibilities

The essential function of a Food Runner is to promptly deliver food from the kitchen to guests, ensuring exceptional service quality.

  • Deliver food from the kitchen to guests efficiently, utilizing information from kitchen tickets, including table assignments.
  • Enhance communication between the serving staff and culinary team.
  • Examine kitchen tickets to confirm the quality and accuracy of all orders.
  • Observe and evaluate guests' dining experiences, ensuring satisfaction with both food and service, and check in with customers to meet their needs during each table visit.
  • Address guest requests appropriately and relay these to the serving staff without delay.
  • Assist servers in clearing tables, especially during busy periods and with larger groups.
  • Perform general cleaning duties to comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by rotating to different service areas as required.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English for effective communication with both staff and guests.
  • Willingness to work at all venue events, maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate service needs, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to work in an open-air environment under varying weather conditions.
  • Punctuality and dependability are crucial.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and a professional appearance in accordance with company and venue standards.
  • Physical ability to perform assigned tasks, including prolonged standing, reaching, bending, and stooping.
  • Basic understanding of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette is beneficial.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to follow management directives.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Adhere to safe work practices, follow safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and complete all required safety training.
