Triumvirate Environmental, a leading firm in the environmental services sector across North America, is in search of an Environmental Compliance Consultant to join our Lab & Onsite Support Services (Lab/OSS) team. In this role, you will assist our clients on-site by overseeing their hazardous waste management programs and projects, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.

We provide top-tier institutions in higher education, life sciences, healthcare, and industrial sectors with a variety of services and expert guidance to support their hazardous waste management and regulatory compliance needs.

This position will report to the Technical Services Field Chemist and will involve working directly at client locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations and Triumvirate's Health and Safety protocols.
  • Prepare chemical and biological waste for transport and disposal, including the generation of all necessary federal and state waste documentation.
  • Safely manage hazardous waste containers at client sites, including the loading and unloading of waste from vehicles.
  • Conduct inspections of safety equipment and hazardous waste.
  • Occasionally perform and document Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits for clients.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by delivering innovative solutions and support to our clients.
  • Develop expertise in state and federal regulations to ensure compliance with clients' needs (e.g., RCRA, DOT, and OSHA).
  • Implement spill response measures, including assessment and cleanup efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hazardous waste management, or relevant military experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex issues, devise solutions, and implement strategies for positive outcomes.
  • Skilled in fostering strong, positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
  • Valid US driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to undergo Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds regularly and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Commitment to completing a 2 to 3-year professional advancement program in hazardous waste management.
  • Experience handling hazardous chemicals and biological waste, with a focus on safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous relevant industry experience.
  • Successful background in customer service roles.
  • Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40-hour certification.
  • Willingness to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
