Job Summary

New England Cancer Specialists is seeking a Per-Diem Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Scarborough. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating appointments and procedures for our patients. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to work under pressure will make you an asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring timely and efficient coordination of care.
  • Manage and resolve appointment conflicts, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Complete non-clinical orders within patient charts, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers, ensuring clear understanding of patient needs.
  • Assist with training new staff and provide administrative support during peak times.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant or Medical Secretary Certification preferred.
  • Minimum one year prior clerical and/or Medical Secretary experience in a healthcare field, oncology experience preferred.
