Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at the University Health System. As a LVN Corrections Specialist, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a correctional setting, ensuring their safety and well-being while maintaining established security requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver efficient, appropriate, and therapeutic nursing care to patients, adhering to established standards and security protocols.
  • Continuously monitor patient conditions and status, providing care that meets or exceeds established standards.
  • Support and adhere to University Health and Detention Health Care Services policies and procedures.
  • Promote excellent internal and external customer relations.
Requirements
  • Current license to practice Vocational Nursing in the State of Texas.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience in correctional healthcare, psychiatric nursing, or emergency nursing is preferred.
  • Prior knowledge or experience within University Health's nursing services and/or certification as a Certified Correctional Health Care Provider (CCHP) is also preferred.
