Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our team at Physician Affiliate Group of New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex orthopedic trauma care and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and perform surgery on complex orthopedic cases, including pelvic fractures, complex long bone and intra-articular fractures, and complex fractures of the upper and lower extremities.
  • Participate in the emergency call schedule for orthopedic surgery and provide 24-hour, 7-day per week coverage.
  • Participate in the American College of Surgeons (ACS) trauma multi-disciplinary activities, including data collection and compliance issues required for a level I trauma center.
  • Teach orthopedic surgery residents, medical students, and physicians assistants.
  • Critically review orthopedic trauma consultations seen in the Emergency Department and In-Patient units.
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient surgical and non-surgical care for complex orthopedic trauma patients.
  • Serve as the orthopedic trauma representative to the multi-disciplinary trauma meetings.
  • Develop and implement quality programs required by the hospital and the American College of Surgeons.
  • Assist with departmental administration as needed.
Requirements
  • Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship trained Board Eligible or Certified Orthopedic Surgeon.
