Job Title: Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. As a member of our trauma team, you will be responsible for providing surgical and non-surgical care to complex orthopedic trauma patients, including those with pelvic fractures, complex intra-articular fractures, bone defects, and limb lengthening surgery.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and perform surgery on complex orthopedic cases, including pelvic fractures, complex long bone and intra-articular fractures, and complex fractures of the upper and lower extremities.
  • Participate in the emergency call schedule for orthopedic surgery and provide 24-hour, 7-day per week emergency on-call coverage.
  • Participate in the ACS trauma multi-disciplinary activities, including data collection and compliance issues required for a level I trauma center.
  • Teach orthopedic surgery residents, medical students, physicians assistants, and other personnel.
  • Review orthopedic trauma consultations seen in the Emergency Department and In-Patient units.
Qualifications:
  • Current licensed NYS registration certificate.
  • Graduate of an approved medical school (Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship trained Board Eligible or Certified Orthopedic Surgeon).
