Regional Vice President of Operations

About the Role:

The Regional Vice President of Operations will be responsible for overseeing operations within a set geographic region. This role will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the organization, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and execute sound business strategies in conjunction with market General Managers/Operations Managers and leadership team to enable profitable growth.
  • Create a structure that fosters focus and accountability to achieve company goals.
  • Develop and implement key metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide in-depth service knowledge and training to the sales team to grow the business successfully and profitably.
  • Develop and manage a system of controls to ensure service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost, revenue, and profit parameters.
  • Plan, forecast, and manage staffing levels effectively.
  • Analyze regions KPIs and P&Ls for performance gaps and opportunity areas.
  • Ensure the development of lean systems and continuously improve procedures for operating and managing the line of service.
  • Grow leaders, instill confidence, and inspire the team to be passionate about the customer experience.
  • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, create programs to supervise, counsel, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Maintain a workplace environment that achieves Gold Star Foods' goals for employee retention and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • BA/BS degree in Business Management, Logistics, or other related Operations discipline.
  • MSc/MA preferred.
  • 10-15 years of progressive management experience with an operations/logistics supply chain focus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment, with strong focus on meeting/exceeding measurable metrics.
  • 3+ years of experience managing full P & L preferred.
