Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Banquet House Person at Spire Hospitality. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in meeting room setup and breakdown.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors to stay informed about work assignments and priorities.
  • Set up meeting rooms to meet guest specifications, requiring physical activity to transport equipment and materials.
  • Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
  • Break down meeting rooms after events and return equipment to storage closets.
  • Maintain a cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms to ensure they remain presentable.
  • Clean pre-function areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisors.
  • Respond to unexpected spills and special guest requests.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of various types of equipment and setup styles used in meeting rooms.
  • Ability to understand verbal English to receive job requests from supervisors and guests.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, including tables, chairs, and podiums weighing up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry goods on a hand cart/truck weighing up to 500 lbs.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to speak and hear.
  • Close and distance vision.
  • Frequent walking and standing, with occasional bending and climbing stairs.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 200 lbs.
  • Ability to reach in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.
Qualifications
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • CPR Certification and/or First Aid training preferred.
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Additional language ability preferred.
