Key Responsibilities

Enhance the well-being of residents, clients, members, employees, and guests by maintaining a clean and organized environment. This role involves managing the grounds and landscapes at Arcadia and associated locations.

  • Perform routine maintenance of the grounds, including mowing lawns, pruning hedges, shrubs, trees, and gardens; edging walkways; and watering.
  • Ensure cleanliness of grounds, garden paths, and walkways by removing litter daily.
  • Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides to the grounds at designated intervals.
  • Test and repair the irrigation system as necessary.
  • Execute special landscaping or planting projects as directed.
  • Clear drainage ditches and culverts.
  • Empty external waste containers.
  • Operate various equipment such as gas-powered lawn mowers, weed whackers, blowers, pruners, trimmers, pressure washers, and other tools, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and minor repairs on grounds equipment and tools.
  • Participate in emergency drills and respond to situations such as fires, alarms, hurricanes, and other emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Response Manual.
  • Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety regulations.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
