Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Finance Factors Ltd.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and a proven track record of performing routine maintenance and repairs on building equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine trouble calls, preventative maintenance procedures, and repairs on buildings' mechanical equipment.
  • Clean and inspect boiler systems, treating water with proper chemicals.
  • Calibrate and repair pneumatic systems.
  • Replace broken windows, repair doors, door locks, and closets, and install window blinds.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • May operate a computer that controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems.
  • Perform minor repairs of electrical outlets and wiring.
  • May repair electrical locks and control panels to maintain building security.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance and repair requests as required.
  • Assist with the renovation/remodeling of buildings, repairing plaster and drywall, and painting building structures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • A mechanical aptitude and interest in construction-related work, maintenance, and repair of equipment and machinery.
  • Experience with safety procedures concerning the use of common hand tools and power tools.

Working Conditions:

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
