Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Strategy and Policy Department at MITRE's Intelligence Center. As a Lead Intelligence Systems Architect, you will play a critical role in enhancing policy and strategy efforts for our sponsors throughout the national security landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop system architecture and requirements to support efforts for a cloud-based IT modernization acquisition initiative.
  • Engage in and lead technical discussions to gather requirements and craft use cases.
  • Create business and high-level system requirements based on business processes and existing system documentation for the development of CONOPS.
  • Offer guidance to the government sponsor on industry best practices related to agile development methodologies and cloud services, as well as contribute to the creation of technical deliverables that support the IT Modernization Acquisition process.
  • Contribute to exploring and nurturing innovative technology solutions to introduce new capabilities and efficiencies to the programs.
  • Participate in meetings with technical, systems engineering, business process, cost, and procurement teams to accurately define requirements.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, 6 years with a Master's, 3 years with a PhD, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in collecting and developing technical requirements for system CONOPS
  • Capability to translate operational needs and business processes into specific technical requirements and artifacts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding collaboration skills within a team setting
  • Onsite work requirement of 5 days a week

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of ODNI's Mission and the IT landscape supporting mission success
  • Knowledge of Acquisition lifecycle and Requirements development
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall engineering methodologies
  • Ability to dissect complex problems related to near-term or long-term interoperability and effectively communicate solutions to engineers and Senior Stakeholders
  • Aptitude to work independently across various domains, given the multifaceted nature of the task
