Position Summary:

We are in search of a Renewable Energy Finance Associate with a minimum of four years of relevant experience to join our client's Energy Project Development and Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in US project development and financing, particularly in relation to distributed and utility-scale renewable energy initiatives. Mastery in managing principal financing documentation and essential commercial project agreements is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal assistance to the energy project development and finance sector.
  • Oversee US project development and financing operations for distributed and utility-scale renewable energy initiatives.
  • Manage principal financing documentation, including purchase agreements, partnership agreements, credit agreements, security and pledge agreements, and depositary agreements.
  • Handle critical commercial project documentation, such as development agreements, power purchase agreements (PPAs), engineering, procurement, and construction contracts (EPCs), site control agreements, and interconnection agreements, along with related due diligence.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, adhering to the firm's guidelines for in-office work.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Eligible for admission in Massachusetts, Washington, DC, New York, or California.
  • A minimum of four years of project finance experience within a law firm setting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Professional demeanor when engaging with high-profile clients.
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple competing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within team environments.
