Position Summary

We are currently seeking a qualified Fire Alarm Systems Technician. The main responsibilities include diagnosing issues, repairing systems, and providing recommendations for installations and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and inspect fire alarm systems, security alarm systems, access control systems, monitoring systems, and nurse call systems.
  • Provide recommendations for system installations and service enhancements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including the company vehicle, while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Work independently while delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills and maintain professional communication with clients.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions accurately; document work performed clearly and precisely.
  • Possess basic hand tools and have knowledge of tools relevant to the trade.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean DMV record for at least five years.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the installation, service, testing, troubleshooting, and programming of fire alarm systems.
  • Strong understanding of fire alarm products, access control, and CCTV systems.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 72, NFPA 70, and current industry standards.
  • Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications and pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Work Schedule

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Monday through Friday
  • Rotating on-call shifts for service department roles

Compensation: $34.00 per hour

Physical Demands

This role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching. The technician must be able to climb ladders and scaffolds and work at heights exceeding 40 feet. The position necessitates navigating job sites and adhering to all safety regulations. The ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 lbs., is essential.
