Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at a Dr. Office in Henrietta, NY. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our medical staff.

Responsibilities
  • Professional Proficiency
    • Maintain professional competencies and fulfill job requirements for a licensed role within the department.
    • Assist providers with requests to ensure expedited and efficient care delivery.
    • Manage patient flow and assist the secretary with scheduling patients.
    • Complete follow-up phone calls and maintain a friendly and caring environment for patients.
  • Delivery of High-Quality Clinical Outcomes
    • Apply healthcare practices as deemed competent by a nursing educator and under the direction of a provider.
    • Interpret, support, and implement policies and procedures.
    • Act as a team player and work collaboratively within the team and organization.
    • Assist with developing priorities, goals, and action plans.
    • Respond to requests from the Department Manager.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assist with evaluation of programs and services.
    • Participate in department and/or system-wide team dynamic initiatives.
    • Accurately record observations and serve as a liaison for providers and patients/families.
    • Able to identify patient care problems and suggest solutions to enhance patient outcomes.
    • Able to answer patient questions as appropriate when the provider is not present.
    • Accurately obtain and document vital signs.
    • Utilize communication, leadership skills, and decision-making skills.
  • Education & Experience
    • Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing with a permit or license (LPN) to practice in New York State.
  • Licenses and/or Certifications
    • CPR/BLS Required
