Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with patients, families, and staff to resolve problems and ensure seamless care delivery.
- Communicate effectively with patients and ancillary service departments to manage expectations and delays.
- Greet and escort patients, answer phone calls, and direct inquiries to the appropriate area.
- Maintain the appearance of the waiting room, reception area, and offices, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
- Request, prepare, and ensure the completeness of patient medical records and physician orders.
- Validate patient demographics, insurance, and pre-certification information, accurately managing copay collections and preparing billing documents.
- Patient check-in, check-out, batching, scheduling, and appointment management, maintaining bed control and conducting bedside patient interviews.
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six months of experience in frontline customer service and guest relations.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, hospital admissions, registration, medical office, or working use of medical terminology is strongly preferred.
