Role Overview:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is an advanced practice registered nurse who serves as a leader, innovator, and change agent in meeting the needs of patients, families, and healthcare systems. This expert clinician utilizes advanced knowledge and skills to influence patient care outcomes through three spheres of impact: patient and family, nurse and nursing practice, and organization and systems.

Essential Responsibilities:
The CNS advocates for and advances nursing practice by applying evidence-based interventions to enhance safe patient care. To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a Master of Science in Nursing with Clinical Nurse Specialist Concentration and current certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from a national credentialing body approved by the NC Board of Nursing. Over 4 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and American Heart Association BLS certification are also required. A salary range of $124,900 per year based on education and experience applies to this position.
