Advanced Practice Nurse Leader

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a master's or doctorally prepared advanced practice registered nurse who excels in clinical expertise and patient care outcomes. As a leader, innovator, and change agent, the CNS plays a pivotal role in meeting the needs of patients, families, and healthcare systems through coordinated efforts with interdisciplinary providers.
Responsibilities:
This expert clinician utilizes advanced knowledge and skills to influence patient care outcomes through three spheres of impact: patient and family, nurse and nursing practice, and organization and systems. The CNS advocates for and advances nursing practice by applying evidence-based interventions to enhance safe patient care.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a Master of Science in Nursing with Clinical Nurse Specialist Concentration. Current certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from a national credentialing body approved by the NC Board of Nursing is also required. Additionally, over 4 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and American Heart Association BLS certification are essential qualifications.
Salary:
$124,900 per year based on education and experience.
