Manufacturing Engineer

At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of space technology and we need a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team.
As a Manufacturing Engineer at SpaceX, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, developing novel solutions and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the production, assembly and integration of complex machined parts in Quick Turn/5-Axis mill machine shop.
- Resolve, analyze and solve manufacturing discrepancies, while interfacing with the quality team.
- Aggressively drive and implement process improvements to reduce assembly hours and build cost.
- Create capital/facility justifications for large projects and manage through implementation and runoff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing environment with 5-axis milling (or equivalent internship experience).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Siemens Controller / Okuma Controller / On-Machine Touch Probe.
- CAD experience (NX & Teamcenter a plus).
- Strong understanding of NC programming, CMM programming, PLC programming.
- Experience with capacity modeling, process mapping and fault analysis.
- Pareto analysis, root cause and corrective action experience.
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience.
