Manufacturing Engineer for Metallic Heat Shield

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to lead the production, assembly, and integration of 3D printed components and welded components for our Metallic Heat Shield project.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient production processes to meet increasing production rates while reducing costs.
- Drive supplier root cause analysis and resolve complex manufacturing discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the quality team to implement corrective actions and improve part quality.
- Develop and qualify future state production systems for all products.
- Guide new and existing products through outsourcing vendors and develop stable products and relationships.
- Coordinate with internal and external manufacturing teams to improve manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of science in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of machining and assembly experience from industry or collegiate engineering projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on manufacturing experience with high-temp/high-strength metals.
- Strong mechanical intuition and engineering fundamentals.
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and influence cross-functional teams.
- Experience rapidly introducing process improvements and lean manufacturing principles.
Additional Requirements:
- This is a hands-on position that may require standing up to 4+ hours a day.
- Must be willing to work long hours and weekends as necessary.
