Job Summary

Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Catering Captain to join our team at Compass Group Careers. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating catering staff schedules, ensuring timely delivery of functions, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine workload requirements from catering orders and meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements.
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner, demonstrating a complete understanding of menu items.
  • Instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions, help set up rooms to desired specifications, and assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests, ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, and follow HACCP standards.
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license may be required, and a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit may be necessary, depending on state law.
