AP and AR Specialist

Cabot Hosiery Mills is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented AP and AR Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and verify all AP invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Work closely with internal business owners and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure efficient payment processing.
- Manage the AP email inbox, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and courteous manner.
- Phone support for retailer payment and general AR assistance, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly.
- Organize and enter retailer payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Complete assigned work using various software applications and accounting systems, adhering to internal control policies.
- Education equivalent to BS in Finance, Accounting, or similar field preferred.
- In lieu of degree, 1-2 years' experience in accounting or a related field.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to quickly learn multiple new systems, processes, and software.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger, and cost centers.
- Solid typing and data entry skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Open office environment.
- Manufacturing environment-exposure to machinery, noise, and other adverse conditions for limited periods of time depending on the role.
- Flexible nature to manage competing and changing priorities.
- Travel locally to all of the organization's sites and locations.
