We are seeking an experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our worksite health and performance team, you will play a critical role in improving employee health, well-being, and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver worksite services to employees, including early intervention, ergonomic assessment, rehabilitation, and outreach to reduce injuries and risk.
- Provide coaching on proper body mechanics and injury mitigation techniques, including general stretches and other interventions as directed.
- Develop and record accurate assessments of job duties to establish necessary functional capacity exam standards.
- Perform ergonomic assessments of static and dynamic activities, including interactions with tools or workstations, and interpret results to identify safety issues.
- Act as a front-line customer ambassador for patients and clients, communicating effectively with supervisors, union stewards, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Certification in Massage Therapy, or Physical Therapy discipline.
- Experience with ergonomic evaluation and knowledge of personnel administration and patient relation principles.
- Certification as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and licensure in the state of Iowa and/or Illinois.
- Strong interpersonal, computer, and supervisory skills, with the ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment.
