Position Overview

The Annual Campaign Coordinator will work closely with the Development and Communications team at Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation Inc to assist in the formulation and execution of a thorough, data-informed Annual Campaign strategy. This role is essential in meeting ambitious fundraising objectives, enhancing donor retention, upgrading current donor contributions, and facilitating the recruitment of new supporters. The coordinator will be responsible for maintaining accurate donor information, aiding in the creation of campaign materials, managing donor communications, and supporting fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Strategy and Implementation (20%): Partner with the Development and Communications team to design and execute a comprehensive Annual Campaign strategy. Employ data-driven approaches to meet fundraising targets, enhance donor retention, upgrade existing contributions, and attract new donors.
  • Data Oversight (20%): Guarantee that all donations, pledges, and pertinent information are accurately recorded in Salesforce. Maintain up-to-date records for current donors and ensure the integrity of fundraising data.
  • Reporting and Data Management (5%): Assist with data-related projects and generate reports as necessary. Keep donor contact information and related records current in Salesforce.
  • Campaign Material Creation (10%): Collaborate with the Communications team to develop appeals, publications, videos, and other media associated with the Annual Campaign. Work together to establish a coordinated timeline for mailings, solicitations, and other campaign milestones.
  • Donor Recognition and Assistance (20%): Ensure timely acknowledgment and thank-you communications are sent to donors, both electronically and through traditional means. Provide support to donors as needed and adhere to the donor communication schedule.
  • Executive and Development Support (10%): Assist the Executive Director, Development Director, and the Development team with strategies and solicitations related to the Annual Campaign.
  • Event Management (10%): Compile and update guest lists for fundraising events. Maintain communication with the Event Coordinator and provide assistance as required.
  • Fundraising Page Administration (5%): Create and manage fundraising pages and Classy campaigns in partnership with the Communications team.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Process and acknowledge donor contributions through Classy.
  • Record donation details in Salesforce and update records as necessary.
  • Issue tax acknowledgment receipts to donors following the processing of their contributions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of all donations into Salesforce.
  • Provide assistance by responding to inquiries from donors, Board members, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage Classy Campaign pages, including processing donations and handling refund requests.
  • Update Salesforce with corrected mailing addresses for returned correspondence and resend original mailings.
  • Support data and reporting initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain current contact and organizational records in Salesforce.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required. Demonstrated experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, and data management is essential. Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems is necessary. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are required. The capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment is important. Familiarity with Classy or similar online fundraising platforms is preferred. Work Environment: This position typically operates in a professional office setting and may require occasional evening and weekend work.
