We are seeking experienced commercial Plumber and Pipefitter Mechanics to join our team in the Richmond area. Key Responsibilities- Lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install plumbing and piping systems
- Cut pipe using various tools and equipment
- Thread pipe using a threading machine
- Join piping using various joints, including welded, grooved, threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented
- Test piping systems for leaks
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Work safely and encourage others to do so, complying with applicable health and safety-related rules, regulations, and procedures
- Work experience as a Plumber Mechanic or Pipefitter for commercial construction projects (Journeyman level experience is preferred)
- Experience with layouts and ability to read and work from drawings
- Ability to direct and support the work of a helper or apprentice
- Safety-minded and knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
- Initiative; self-motivated, self-starter
- Knowledge of basic construction/shop math
- Knowledge of International Plumbing Code (IPC)
- Positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment
- Ability to work without direct supervision
