Academic Duties:

  • Uphold high standards of academic integrity.
  • Create and implement individualized learning strategies.
Behavioral Oversight:
  • Enforce discipline in line with organizational policies.
  • Engage with parents and staff regarding student conduct.
  • Utilize positive behavior management strategies.
  • Mitigate behavioral challenges through effective classroom management.
Curriculum Development:
  • Achieve proficiency in the established curriculum.
  • Facilitate both online and in-person instruction.
  • Implement lesson plans focused on learning objectives and critical thinking.
Assessment Strategies:
  • Leverage assessment data to inform instructional choices.
  • Administer assessments as required.
  • Encourage students to excel in their assessments.
Operational Tasks:
  • Complete necessary documentation promptly.
  • Monitor student engagement and attendance.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with colleagues.
  • Accurately record attendance at the Learning Site.
General Expectations:
  • Communicate student progress to parents.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor and uphold high expectations.
  • Participate in all required training sessions and meetings.
Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Associate's degree or higher, or a high school diploma/GED with two years of post-secondary education, or a high school diploma/GED with a passing score on the Para WorkKeys exams.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an educational setting or working with youth.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Teaching certification.
  • Three or more years of experience in an educational environment, particularly with at-risk youth.
