At Norwood Crossing, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Professional Nurse to fill the role of Assistant Director of Nursing. This position is responsible for providing professional nursing care delivery, supervising nursing personnel, and ensuring the highest level of care for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide and oversee professional nursing care delivery by determining the kind and amount of nursing care required.
- Supervise and evaluate subordinate professional and sub-professional nursing personnel.
- Make periodic rounds to check quality of nursing care delivery and to observe acutely ill residents.
- Assume the duties and responsibilities of the Director of Nursing Services in their absence.
- Work with other Nursing Department Team members and the Human Resources Department to interview, hire, and orient new personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality of all protected health information.
- Observe and practice all safety standards and protocols.
- Registered Professional Nurse with current Illinois License; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of modern nursing techniques, routines, and methods as applied in healthcare institutions.
- Ability to research and apply evidence-based practices to current care practices.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in acceptable business English.
