Job Overview

Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for addressing and fulfilling all general maintenance requests across various areas of the property, including guest rooms, public spaces, meeting venues, service areas, and the exterior of the establishment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address and complete all general maintenance requests as necessary, covering all internal and external areas of the hotel and associated properties.
  • Perform wall repairs, including taping, spackling, and painting.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest room service requests.
  • Ensure that work orders are tracked, completed, and prioritized effectively.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating maintenance projects during off-peak seasons.
  • Conduct safety inspections regularly.
  • Adhere to all compliance standards, including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and GHS (Global Harmonized System for chemicals).
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and best practices.
  • Report any safety hazards and suspicious activities to management.
  • Monitor and maintain the fire detection system and assist during emergency evacuations.
  • Complete work order assignments in a timely manner.
  • Engage with guests on a daily basis to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
