Maintenance Technician Job Description

The Kroger Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Repair and replace faulty or damaged equipment to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot issues and identify root causes to prevent future problems.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pipe and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
