Job Summary

Western Digital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced NAND devices and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define NAND device-related system algorithms and communicate requirements to meet system specifications.
  • Lead discussions on new NAND modes or operation methods to differentiate products.
  • Work with Architecture and Firmware teams on detailed implementation and verification plans.
  • Monitor NAND readiness and collaborate with PE teams on NAND testing and screening methods.
  • Prepare and present reports detailing development status.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in system design and development.
  • Strong understanding of technical and logistic challenges in delivering industry-leading products.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, and Python.
