We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Palliative Medicine team at Highmark Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in primary health care and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary health care services to patients, including recording medical history, physical assessments, and developing therapeutic care plans.
- Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests, and provide accurate medical record documentation.
- Establish presumptive diagnoses and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care.
- Prepare written prescription orders and educate patients and families on health and illness prevention, medication, and treatment instructions.
- Participate in performance and quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Master's degree or equivalent in Physician Assistant studies.
- Current PA Physician Assistant License or board eligibility.
- PA-C or board eligibility within 90 days of employment.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearance certificates.
- 0-1 year of experience in interventional radiology.
- ACLS certification.
