Neonatal Physician Assistant Fellowship Program

UPMC is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Physician Assistant to join our team in the Advanced Practice Provider Neonatology Fellowship program. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the development of our fellows.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive physical assessments of newborns and infants, order and interpret laboratory and radiographic data, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Initiate emergency evaluations and treatments, perform high-level invasive procedures, and serve as a member of nursing and medical committees.
- Make referrals to consulting physicians, provide support and information to parents and families, and contribute to the body of medical and nursing knowledge through research and publication.
- Participate in determining conditions, resources, and policies basic to sound healthcare of high-risk newborns, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
- Physician Assistant PA State Licensure.
- NCCPA certification, NRP certification, or completion within 30 days of start.
- Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.
- Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance.
