Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily operations of custodial staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure exceptional service levels.
  • Develop and manage work schedules to ensure adequate coverage for tasks, events, and special projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain high cleaning standards and address deficiencies promptly.
  • Manage inventory and supply levels, ensuring timely ordering and restocking of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring staff use proper protective equipment and follow safety protocols.
  • Respond to emergency cleaning situations quickly and effectively.
  • Coordinate with vendors for specialty cleaning services or equipment maintenance.
  • Monitor the custodial budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development for custodial team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of custodial tasks, inspections, performance, and incidents, and prepare reports for management.
  • Organize and supervise large-scale cleaning projects, ensuring timely completion and high standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to custodial operations and introduce new technologies to increase efficiency.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in cleaning and supervisory roles within a large facility.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and perform tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • A valid driver's license is required for this role.
  • Flexibility with start and end times, including the ability to work weekends and statutory holidays as required.
  • A clear criminal background check is mandatory for this position.
