Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Director to join our team at the Department of the Navy/Assistant for Administration. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for leading human capital initiatives, managing HR programs, and providing expert guidance and advice to senior leadership on complex HR issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and procedures to ensure human capital requirements are met.
  • Lead HCM initiatives and manage human resource programs to support the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to senior leadership on HR-related matters, including staffing, classification, and employee relations.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Civilian Human Resources (OCHR) to propose, develop, and advance HCM planning and legislative, regulatory, and policy initiatives.
  • Design and implement HR assessment processes to measure HR outcomes driven by organizational mission requirements and strategic goals.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Your resume must demonstrate experience in executing, directing, or managing the delivery of civilian federal human resources services, ensuring compliance with governing laws and regulations, developing and interpreting HR policies, and providing input for strategic planning of human capital resources.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program and is in the excepted service. The selected candidate will be subject to a background investigation and must be able to obtain a security clearance. A relocation incentive may be authorized to eligible selectees.
