Key Responsibilities
  • Direct provision of English language development to EL students, including co-teaching, pull-out groups, and individualized instruction.
  • Supervise the English language development of students, working closely with certified teachers to determine instructional needs and plan English language development.
  • Assess and analyze English learner progress, using data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Develop and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) to support student growth and achievement.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure instruction and assessment are tailored to meet the needs of English language learners.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's English learner status and progress.
  • Facilitate the formal monitoring process for students who have exited English language services.
  • Provide EL expertise to case conferences, MTSS meetings, and other school-based processes.
  • Administer WIDA placement tests and the annual ACCESS assessment.
  • Promote EL family engagement and participation in their child's academics.
  • Develop and deliver professional development opportunities for staff on topics such as EL instructional best practices, data analysis, and differentiation of assessments.
  • Provide coaching and support for student academic growth and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners in a co-taught, interdisciplinary instructional setting.
  • Collect and analyze student data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Develop meaningful and supportive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community partners.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Current Indiana Teaching License
  • 2+ years of experience working in classrooms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work well in a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
