As a Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in our patient interactions and offer essential administrative support to our healthcare providers. At Gastro Health, you will leave each day knowing you have positively impacted our patients' experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients warmly and efficiently.
- Utilize our management system to create and maintain patient records, including scanning necessary documents.
- Ensure registration forms are accurately completed and gather necessary physician information.
- Confirm that patients have current referrals on the day of their appointment and assist in obtaining them if needed.
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to patient visits and procedures.
- Collect applicable payments from patients and accurately post all transactions.
- Balance and close daily transaction batches.
- Assist patients with inquiries regarding their balances and payment options.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including restocking materials as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a medical or similar environment.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
