Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant General Manager to support all aspects of our hotel operations, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales, and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in leading the team in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies.
  • Verify the implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives to meet or exceed guest expectations.
  • Build relationships with key customers and be involved in the sales process.
  • Manage the operation of all property departments, promoting both Guarantee of Fair Treatment and Open Door policies.
  • Verify that a viable key control program is in place and maintain current licenses and permits as prescribed by local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Provide a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA/MSDS.
  • Manage all finance and accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, payroll, and ordering procedures.
  • Review financial statements, sales, and activity reports to measure productivity and goal achievement.
  • Support the management and development of departmental teams, staying readily available and approachable for all employees.
  • Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests at all times, motivating and encouraging staff to solve guest and employee-related concerns.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related professional area.
  • Or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major; 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related professional area.
