Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of a certified clinician, you will assist in the provision of patient care services and perform various tasks related to orthotics and prosthetics. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing patient rooms, making and modifying molds, performing technical fabrication, and completing administrative tasks. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of patient care provided and performing selected patient care procedures, including the fitting of soft good items.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist practitioners with patient care under direct supervision.
  2. Prepare patient rooms and make and modify molds as needed.
  3. Perform technical fabrication and complete administrative tasks.
  4. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care provided.
  5. Perform selected patient care procedures, including the fitting of soft good items.
  6. Provide alterations to the fitting of soft good items, if necessary.
  7. Provide patient follow-up for selected orthotic and prosthetic patients under direction of supervising certified clinician.
  8. Perform shipping, receiving, and monitor inventory and other clerical tasks.
  9. Contact vendors to order prosthetic and orthotic materials.
  10. Ensure all patient procedures are performed in alignment with the certifying clinician.


Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment. Adhere to all safety regulations, compliance with Medicare and other governmental regulations, and compliance with blood-borne and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Employee must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures. Preferred experience in allied health professions, such as Physical Therapist/PTA, Occupational Therapist/OTA, or Athletic Trainer.
