Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our team at the Oregon Health & Science University Hospital - South Waterfront. As a Per Diem RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Outpatient Surgery department.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients in the Outpatient Surgery department.
- Administer medications using the Pyxis medication system.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to ensure seamless patient care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop plans of care to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
- AHA BLS certification (RQI not accepted).
- BSN degree preferred.
Work Schedule:
- 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts available.
- Days only, no weekends.
Unit Specific Information:
- CHH Surgery Center (aka CHH OR).
- Multi-specialty unit with a focus on GYN, Urology, Robotics, Orthopedic, General, ENT, Surgical Oncology, and Plastic Surgery.
Additional Requirements:
- A valid government-issued photo ID is required.
- Must be presented on the first day to obtain an OHSU ID badge.
