About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled A&P Mechanic I to join our team at StandardAero. As an A&P Mechanic I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engine Maintenance: Remove and reinstall engines from turbofan and turboprop powered aircraft, perform operational checks and engine runs to ensure air-worthiness prior to departure.
  • Aircraft Inspections: Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance manuals, evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair all airframe systems as required, including hydraulics, landing gear, and fuel systems.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise, and accurate manner, including Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives.
  • Technical Knowledge: Read and interpret maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams when required, analyze mechanical problems and determine the cause and best method of repair.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required, must be appropriately certificated in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65.
  • Experience: Demonstrated technical ability on specific airframes and engines in the areas of inspections, maintenance, preventive maintenance, alterations, and repairs.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to locate and apply FAA regulations, Advisory Circulars, Orders, Notices, prioritize and plan work activities in an organized manner, good interpersonal and verbal skills.
