Position Overview:

The Conflicts Department at Lewis Brisbois is in search of a dedicated Conflicts Analyst. This role is crucial in ensuring that potential conflicts are thoroughly examined and resolved efficiently. The primary duties encompass reviewing conflict alerts and filtering out clear non-conflict cases upon completion of searches. The refined search results will then be communicated to the respective attorney or team and the Conflicts Attorney for further evaluation. Additionally, the analyst will keep track of pending conflict searches and aid in the appropriate documentation of completed and resolved searches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform conflict checks for attorneys, secretaries, paralegals, and administrative staff across the firm.
  • Analyze potential conflict alerts and eliminate clear non-conflict cases.
  • Transmit the evaluated and refined search results to the requesting attorney and Conflicts Attorney for their assessment.
  • Oversee outstanding conflict searches and assist in the accurate filing of completed and closed searches.
  • Investigate corporate structures to identify subsidiary and parent relationships for conflict assessment.
  • Provide general guidance and respond to inquiries from attorneys and staff regarding the conflict resolution process.
  • Support the maintenance of the conflicts database to ensure consistent and precise reporting.
  • Exhibit the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented setting.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience in conflict analysis within a legal office environment, preferred.
