Machine Learning Quality Assurance Manager

At Apple, we're looking for a highly skilled Machine Learning Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of our machine learning models used in our photo and video editing features.
About the RoleThis is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of machine learning, quality assurance, and leadership skills. You will be responsible for managing a team of ML QA engineers dedicated to evaluating the performance and quality of machine learning models. Your ability to work closely with development teams, identify and understand key features and their underlying functionality, will be the key to your success.
Responsibilities- Manage a team of ML QA engineers to evaluate the performance and quality of machine learning models
- Develop and implement robust testing frameworks to ensure high-quality machine learning models
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of machine learning models
- Identify and understand key features and their underlying functionality to ensure high-quality machine learning models
- Significant management experience as a Software Quality Assurance Manager in an ML-focused environment
- Established pattern of building strong teams – attracting, hiring, motivating, and retaining the best engineers
- Solid understanding of NLP and LLM's, machine learning concepts, algorithms, and model evaluation techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex ML models and identify potential issues
- Ideally 5+ years as a Software Quality Assurance Manager
- Understanding of generative AI and experience in using Gen AI for various applications
- Proficient in Python and/or Swift or comparable languages
